CABINETRY 101
CABINETRY OPTIONS
Cabinetry options range from fully custom to ready-made, each offering different levels of flexibility, craftsmanship, and price point.
Below, we compare Custom, Semi-Custom, and Stock cabinetry to help you choose the option that best fits your space, style, and budget.
CUSTOM CABINETRY CONSTRUCTION
Cabinetry construction refers to how cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers are built and assembled—impacting both the look and function of your space. Below, we compare the three most common cabinetry construction styles to help you determine which is right for your home.

INSET CABINETS
Doors and drawers are set flush within a frame applied to the front of the cabinet box, creating a tailored, furniture-like look.

FULL OVERLAY CABINETS
Doors and drawers are mounted onto a frame applied to the front of the cabinet box. (*Counter cabinets are inset and base cabinets are full overlay)

FRAMELESS CABINETS
Doors and drawers are mounted directly to the front of the cabinet box, without a frame. This construction allows for smaller reveals (spacing) between doors and drawers, creating a clean, modern look.
