current JOB OPENING | residential INTERIOR DESIGNER (full-time)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Mid- to -Senior-Level Interior Designer to join our growing team in a full-time, on-site role at our studio in The Plains.
This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in all phases of the design process—from concept development and visualizations to technical documentation, sourcing, and project support. You will work closely with our principal and design team, contributing creatively while developing strong technical and client-facing skills within a collaborative, boutique studio environment.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on and create visual design concepts and presentations, develop detailed floor plans and layouts and assist in preparing technical drawings and specifications. You’ll collaborate with contractors and trades to ensure accurate execution of design intent, communicate regularly with team members and clients, and support project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and documentation.

qualifications we are looking for
3-5+ years of residential interior design experience
1+ year professional work experience using SketchUp and Photoshop required
Experience in architecture, cabinetry or construction is a strong plus
Familiarity with tools such as Houzz Pro, Asana, Slack, or Dubsado is a plus
Must have full-time availability (40 hours/week) and ability to work on-site in The Plains, VA at least 4 days per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). No weekends required.

job opening | INTERIOR DESIGNER, KITCHEN & BATH (PART-TIME)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to grow our cabinetry business, CDS Cabinet Co, and looking to bring on an experienced designer to help us expand. To start, this is a part-time, on-site position and will be based in The Plains, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work across high-end residential projects, with a particular focus on kitchens, baths, and custom cabinetry.
In this hands-on role, you will be heavily involved in both the creative and technical direction of multiple projects. You’ll collaborate closely with our principal and design team to develop detailed drawings, manage specifications, coordinate with vendors and trades, manage construction phases, and ensure that every space reflects our studio’s commitment to elevated, detail-driven interiors.
QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
3+ years of professional experience in high-end residential interiors
Proven experience in with kitchen, bath, and cabinetry design
Minimum of 1+ years professional experience using SketchUp and Photoshop is required
Strong client management and vendor coordination skills
Familiarity with project management tools such as Houzz Pro, Asana, Slack, or Dubsado is a plus
This is a part-time position, 24 hours/week). Candidates must be able to work on-site 2-3 days/week
