Set along the cobblestone stretch of Prince Street—known as Captain’s Row—this historic rowhouse sits within one of Old Town Alexandria’s most iconic blocks, lined with 18th- and early 19th-century homes once built for merchants and sea captains.
Designed as a second residence for a family living out of state, the goal was to create a space that feels personal, familiar, and a ‘home away from home’.
The project centered on a light refresh to the kitchen and powder room, paired with full décor selections throughout the home. Working within the character of the home, the design layers classic detailing, balancing the history of the architecture with the comforts of home.
