Storage was the name of the game as we took to redesigning the primary bedroom and bathroom in this sweet center hall colonial in Silver Spring, MD. By adding classic inset cabinetry wherever we could, we were able to create form, function and purposeful storage at the sink, over the toilet and a full wall of wardrobe cabinetry in the bedroom. With creative space saving design without compromising the special details, our #cdscrosbyproject bathroom received a Crystal Design Award.
Our clients invited us back for Phase II, where we turned our attention to the main floor. The kitchen now features fully custom cabinetry, a bespoke island, and a hidden pull-out pantry. Off the kitchen, the dining area feels casual yet elevated, with custom draperies, curated art, and a set of cane dining chairs that give the space a collected (not curated) feel. The living room is warm and inviting with custom built-ins and a plush emerald green velvet chair and ottoman. Finished with artisan textiles and tailored curtains, the home beautifully balances classic charm with modern livability.
