Nestled in the prestigious Forest Hills neighborhood of Washington, DC, this classic center-hall Colonial with a gracious curved staircase, untouched since the 1970s, was redesigned for a young couple's modern lifestyle. We reconfigured the flow of the home, enhancing openness by expanding the doorway into the kitchen. The deep color tones and decor were inspired from the couple’s heritage and global travels, enriching the home with a curated eclectic and urban sophistication. After completing the top two floors, we were came back for phase 2 to help convert a dark and unfinished basement into a functional living spaces complete with laundry room, kitchenette, full bathroom, and home gym.
